PLEASE NO SPOILERS for anything from City of Glass (I'm in the middle) until the end of the series, spoilers for CoB and CoA may follow
Yay, I drew a dynamic pose! Yay, I drew Clary! Can't find a matching book quote right now, maybe later. I still haven't finished City of Glass but I need to until this weekend because them I'm leaving my eBook with my parents for two weeks (I'm going to die...it's like a part of me by now, I take it anywhere and I never seem to stop reading...must be irritating right now to be a friend of mine. Sorry, guys). Sooo...since the Sketch-a-Day project is still running and I didn't finish anything yesterday, I finished this sketch today
. I love it very much, especially that you can even see the perspective and it doesn't look that bad.
Also, please don't mind the rune. I just copied it from the movie merchandises. Don't like that Clary doesn't have red hair in the movie that's coming out, this is more like I pictured her in my head, shorter, not that many curves but still attractive and cute and red hair, green eyes. I'm not sure about the eyes rn but in my head it's like this. Correct me if I'm wrong xP.
Other than that...I learn to love SAI more every time I draw with it XD. love doing backgrounds by now, painting is far easier with the waterbrush than in photoshop xP. The lightsource is ...I dunno, lights of a car maybe? Streetlight? Your choice.

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI like how you had a green background in contrast with her red hair, and her eyes really stand out. I also like the detail and neatness of your work, which I find quite impressive, considering the fact that most of the people I know can't even draw hands. And how you made light coming out of her hand at dusk gives you a powerful feeling, along with her heroic stance. The gleam on the zipper is a nice touch, and you've got the shadowing done perfectly I've never read the Mortal Instruments, but it sure makes me want to.
